Anybody know how to get the scarce VDO wind-up clock out of the grill panel
Panel is secured with looks like (don't remove) twisted fasteners. Clock rotates
in mount but wont come out. Clock runs very slow and short, need cleaning.

Does your clock run flat against the panel or does it stick out? If it sticks out, you need to unscrew the cone nut from the back of the clock to remove the bracket. Then you should be able to pull the clock out from the front. Be careful.

I d be careful using a tool. Perhaps spray a little penetrating oil and let it soak. Then give it a try. It should turn easily.
