Hi All
The muffler in my FI 68' SQBK needs replacing, and I found a NORS Type 3 Exhaust NO EGR which includes tailpipe for a steal.
I know the later model mufflers were a bit bulkier, had a single resonator and maybe had more flow? Anyone know of issues retrofitting these? If it fits, any issues to be aware of that might affect the engine?
Due to the condition of the nuts on the heat exchange, would it be easier just to go for a full aftermarket replacement?
Thanks!!
Josh

No issues. It's a direct replacement. The trouble spot might be the donut for the dampener pipe. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Where did you find the muffler and are there anymore? I have an EMPI dual quiet pack exhaust on my '73 Squareback which is not quiet at all. |

There were two on jogrusa.com, but it seems since I posted it, somebody else bought them both :-/ _________________ fast life in the slow lane... |

Wouldn't surprise me.
I'd keep looking in the Samba Classifieds too, as they show up there as well (where I bought my last 1). Maybe even look on facebook, as there's a growing t-3 community there as well. Ebay might even be worth looking on as well. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I had bookmarked those a week or so ago and went to buy yesterday and it changed to "out of stock" before my eyes. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.
