In case you didn't catch the previews while watching the new episode of Better Call Saul on AMC, AMC's new series Lodge 49 prominently features a tatty sunshine yellow 1974 VW Thing driven by the main character.

Apparently he's also having issues with his gauges, since he ran out of gas!

Now you can see why all German cars are required to have the fuel filler on the curb side (at least for those of us that drive on the correct side of the road Wink ).

Running out of gas is used in the first episode as a way to tell the main character that he's figuratively and literally arrived at his destination, since he runs out of gas right in front of Lodge 49.
