Probably, but the Thing Shop knows what works.
I have never looked closely at how the Thing Shop boot is attached inside the car at the front, or whether it would stay put at freeway speed (I never asked anybody that had one).
Another detail to keep in mind is that you must fold your top by the Thing Shop method (and not by the owners manual method) in order to use the Thing Shop boot.
All of that aside, I never met an owner of a Thing Shop boot that didn't like it, so if you want a boot, buy the best and cry once. |

I have them on both my cars and have driven them at over 70 on the freeway no problem. They have straps at the bottom on both sides that attach to the top tie downs in the cargo bay behind the rear seats. No way air can get under the cover to let it fill with air.

Ditto that. Boot works great, no flapping at highway speeds.
Also, I am able to tuck top in by either folding accordion or burrito style. _________________ What are the last 2 words of the National Anthem?

Well, if I ever buy a new top, I will certainly cover it with one of those boots.
My top is 35 years old and has spent 95% of that time folded.
Dirt is the enemy; especially for the rear window, and one of those boots would go a long way toward keeping the top clean. |
