They work but they are most likely normal 55-60 handles.

sorry to dig up an old thread, but can anyone show me what the handle looks like for my ‘53? So what the difference is with the 55-60 handle?

I agree with your photo of the inner front door handles as being the same.

But:
I think he means the inner cargo door handle?

It's basically the same as the inner cargo door handles shown above but with a different part #:

And the deluxes use a beaded chrome escutcheon on the cargo doorhandles.
