For you California guys, they're both too far gone.
The 67 is too new, and the Notch too far gone with NO title.
Where I live, no title is a parts car. I know, as I have a 70 Camaro RS with no title in my backyard that was from Arizona. That's basically worth nothing now. You used to be able to get a title for them, but now they're basically scrap as far as the state's concerned. |
That sucks. my notch is from OK and was Way worse off than that 65 and it didn't have a title. I got a title and its not Rotted out anymore! _________________ Dad's 4/55 Oval

As far as getting a title in California for that Notch, that's great, but I don't live in California, and shipping it east can get expensive since it doesn't run. Also, if it's so easy to do, then why doesn't the seller do it? |
Laziness. Having to go to the DMV. Not being aware of the process.
I had to do this with my 67 since it had a Wisconsin title and the car hadn't been registered in CA since the 70s. I'm sure he just wants it gone and doesn't want to have to deal with any additional hassle to get it off his property. _________________ '67 Squareback

So I'm sure this is the same car I looked at, and this dude is a total ripoff. The car was hammered beyond what he says, and the deal was shady as hell.

Why are some people so shifty that they have to act like this. Car was listed for only 500 locally, and he bought it for 200, now trying to pawn off for a grand. Nowhere near worth it in its condition. Glad to see in this listing he is at least a bit honest about it's condition. _________________ It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom.

So it's a rusty shell, right? No engine, floors, glass, bumpers. And he's too lazy to post up any pics? |

Sea Blue 1964 Notchback (Pedro's previous car) was sold by Pedro in Feb17 after 29 years of ownership. A week ago I heard from the buyer in NorCal that he put only 25 miles in the past year & decided he wasn't going to make it a daily driver for work, so he asked me to sell it. Listed yesterday & sold within an hour at full asking price (private). Staying in Southern California. |

Going off the NADA guides, the 70 Square in my backyard is worth 15K (low end of their pricing). I'd never pay that much for it, as it needs a ton of work. And it STILL has the FI in it.
The crazy thing is my wife's 70 Fastback is only worth about 11K, going off the NADA guides. But, would it sell at that price? I doubt it. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
