Hi,

Looks like I need to replace my water pump.
I turned the sink switch on and it got really hot, and no noise from the pump.
Will likley replace both pump and switch. I think the switch got hot due to the pump failing.

Do I need to remove the cabinet to do a pump R&R?
It is a small area, and as a start attempt, I cannot remove the small panel blocking full access as seen here

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Will work on it more, but will try to get that panel out.. not clear how to easily do it.

For the pump, looks kinda tough to get the hoses off in such a small area... I am not much of a contortionist esp with 2 bad discs in my back. Such is life.
Any tricks in getting things done here would be helpful

Thanks - again

Matt

I replaced my pump without removing any cabinet material. Yeah it sucks, but beats removing cabinets to do the job. Fractured vertebrae here, still doable

Hey man. Yep, BusDepot pump. Works great so far, did it a year ago. No complaints

I don't have my bus in front of me, but it seems like that panel is easily removable if you pull up the two little back bumper thingys. They are just held in place with a tack.

Kind of a pain, but yes you can get the pump out by stretching your arms in there. Be careful not to torque it to one side or the other, or the "nipple" it screws into on the tank could be damaged/cracked.

Then you will have to pull the tank to repair!
