Air-cooled rentals in Five-Oh?

I did a Google search but I can't find anything for air-cooled VW rentals in the Hawai'ian Islands. I thought Berg had Bus rentals but maybe I'm thinking of some other location...?

I'm specifically looking for Maui but if there's a rental on another island and the car could be transported over I'd consider it. Just one day, maybe two. BTW, what is the cost to transport a car from one isle to the next? Is it by ferry or ???

Is anyone willing to rent their Type III or Type II (in a pinch a convertible Karmann Ghia) or know someone who would? It would need to be reliable and in really good condition -- I wouldn't want to do any road-side repairs Feel free to IM me if you'd consider it but don't want to broadcast it to the whole world (I can get air-cooled references if you need 'em ).

This is not an immediate need, I just need to know for planning.

I wasn't able to find anything for classic, air-cooled dubs but I did find Maui Roadsters and after checking them out I rented Hoku for 1 and a half days...or actually a 1/2 day on my wedding day and a full day for the day after our wedding

I was over the moon driving her, such fun, and the pretty much all VW under the skin (1951cc engine, yeah baby!). Even my [now] wife wasn't sure about a day in the hot, humid sun in an "old car" would be, however, afterwards she said she loved it...and the smile on her face the whole day was proof.
