Hi all,
I have jumped the terminals with the screwdriver, it spins, but it doesn’t turn the engine. I’m guessing one of these other spades has to get power in order for the teeth to engage the fly wheel? I have a push button switch and I’m ready to hook up. I’ve got the fuel pump and coil hooked up just fine, just need to get the starter correct.

I looked around quite a bit and see a lot of posts on where the wires are coming from to the starter but didn’t see my query. Thanks!

FYI I have a stock 2L engine and tranny. My friend gave me this bell housing which was from an earlier bus, so I had to get a different starter that would fit (thanks Blair & Sons!), (my starter was too long with this smaller housing and I also had to take off my clutch & clutch plate). Will the starter’s teeth line up to my fly wheel?

Don't know, what flywheel is on it?

You need to jump between the lug with the cable on it and one of the spades, if one doesn't work try the other.
