I have taken my front seats from my January 56 Oval to be re-trimmed.
I have the blue polka dot material not vinyl covers.
Should the seat base be all material or should the sides of the seat be the same colour vinyl as used in the door cards ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, the trimmer is adermant that the sides of the seats should be vinyl. He did a car recently that was magazine featured and the seat sides were done to match the door cards.
All the pictures I can find have material sides.
I was not sure as my car is an early 56 and if it changed at the new model year.
Anyone have any pictures of original seats for a 56 ?

If your car is from 8/55 to 3/56, it will have dark blue piping, i think.
From 4/56 they all got the "white" piping.
