This door problem has guys giving me alot of advice and I appreciate it
but having a problem knowing what works.
shims on bottom hinge and a little force on top hinge
have helped but I am not really happy with progress.
will keep trying to understand how doors work.

Killer job so far.

Hard to give advise without being there in person. All three buses I welded on had the same problemwith both front doors and needed more than tweeking hinges. Although some tweeking may be required. Welding dogleg and a-pillars before door gaps are corrected makes it harder.

made some progress on door,( western auto )recomends heating body side hinge upper and lower then hitting them to move door back for better fit.
I am going to try that method see what happens🤞.
also found base coat swr color sample that I think will work well.

its been awhile since I posted any pics of my project, here goes.
Finishing the wiring and putting bus back together, I have really lost interest in the project due to a bad knee .
Will be selling the bus on samba soon , need to focus on my business
and spend time doing things besides pulling my hair out over a VW project.
It has been fun working on different busses but it takes alot of money and time. This is a very cool bus and I am glad I took it on as a project.
will need the front lower A pillars and inner and outer lower nose finished, just do not have the time or patience.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks, I really have tried to make it look like the outside of bus was all old paint.
After I polish it up it will blend even better, 60 year old paint is hard to blend exactly. And I am working in a garage Shocked .
It does make me smile to see her starting to look like a sweet SWR
OG paint bus, you just dont see many around.

All the bad ass metal work the guys on Samba are knocking out
someone must be able to build stuff that fits? Skim, grumpys and all the others . Question

You can order Wolfgang safaris in bare metal directly from them, then paint the frames and send them back for assembly. They will mail you back the completed frames. No extra charge.
