Look again, there isn’t a single VW part on that.

I have no idea why, but I always find myself liking these creations. It obviously sucks to see buses hacked and cut, but it's always neat to see creativity and new ideas in the form of VW buses. Very Happy

That's a crazy bus - bet changing a rear tyre is fun!

There was a model kit that I built in the late ‘70s that was a bus like this.

Those are some awfully wide rear tires and it looks like a stock bug exhaust? Surely the exhaust is a fake and there is a V8 hidden inside?

I think I built that same kit! Did it have a little Honda Trail 70 with it?

Bus is a brazilian 15 window judging by the pressed front logo. In my opinion, seeing one have this much extreme work done to it is much better than getting painted up nice and pretty and being sold as restored, even though this bus could be considered a 'hack.' Check out that last picture, welded up rear hatch, and they're gonna put in either a sliding or side-hinged barndoor-looking decklid Shocked

What is this, a widened beam? Makes me wonder how the torsion leaves were handled! Maybe it's two two-thirds beams joined in the middle?

68 Beetle 4" chop and 8" stretched. Rust and wear is normal for a car of this vintage. Be the first on your block to own a runner & driver rat rod. Unknow miles, has a 1600 dual port motor with new dual Empi carbs. All windows are glass except the back window. Has Oregon "special vehicle" life time plates and a clear title. Have 350Z black fabric seats for it, as well as a pair of HD motorcycle fenders. Hood ornament does not go with car. Car subject to presale. Can provide more pics, just ask. Have a link to the motor running on "youtube"

Thanks! So, if I'm reading that right, the beam looks wider because it's 8 inches farther forward.
