I know this is an odd way to start a seller feedback, but I've never bought anything from Bill.
I inquired about a SVDA Distributor he had for sale. Bill took the time to talk with me and helped me learn that I had a DVDA Solex 34PICT3 carb and the distributor that he had for sale wasn't the best match for it.
He also advised me how my carb could be modified to work with the SVDA he had, but I ended up deciding not to buy his SVDA.
Bill was gracious and thorough to make sure anything I was going to buy would be the best fit for my bug.
I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy anything Bill has for sale. |
Actually I bought a NOS fuel pump from Bill. Excellent condition and well described.

Got a restored vac advance distributor from Bill yesterday. Exactly as pictured and described. Well packaged and shipped quickly. He made sure I knew how to set the timing and the importance of using the correct vac line, things I knew but nice that he cares about getting folks the right thing. This is the future of our hobby. Guys like this keeping original parts in our cars.
Thanks Bill ! |

Bill has been very helpful with my distributor. Originally, I was going to send mine to him to be rebuilt. However he informed me I had the wrong distributor for my engine, and provided me with the correct part number to search for.
After searching for a few weeks, I found one on The Samba classifieds... and it happened to be a newly rebuilt one being offered by Bill! Since I knew he was the expert on these things, I immediately contacted him and bought it. With a few days it arrived. And the thing looked fresh off the assembly line. New cap, vacuum canister, rotor, points, etc. And the body had even been replated.
I highly recommend anyone to contact Bill with their distributor questions. _________________ -Kent-

What can I say? This guy is awesome!...I was selling my restored 66 bug and got the deposit from the buyer and took the car out for a final drive and you guessed it...stumbling and hesitation at all speeds. Worked on it for two weeks. Thought it was carb issue but wasn't. Read many many threads on Samba. Tim from Volkzbiz steered me straight...My cannister on my distributor wasn't holding vacuum. All original car. Tim said to contact Bill Fowler and just by chance he had just finished an all numbers matching distributor for my 66 bug. And he shipped it out the next morning. Only on Samba can you find superb people Like Tim and Bill. Wondering why your $40.00 chinese distributor makes your car run below par? Spend the bucks and get your original rebuilt by Bill. He'll even advise you on what distributor actually belongs in your car. |

Just had Bill rebuild my DVDA off a 73 beetle. Great communication and unit came back looking like a brand new one!! Installed it and car runs great. Would highly recommend him. Better to rebuild then buy a new cheap distributor. |

I bought a restored 205T distributor from Bill last month and installed it as soon as it arrived. Lola the Beetle never ran as well as she did that night! She has a Brosol H30/31 Brazilian carb and I attached the vacuum hose to the rear-facing vacuum port. It works great! Bill was very easy to deal with and I highly recommend him! _________________ Baby Blue 1970 Beetle (sold)

Bought a nos Brosol square top fuel pump from bill. Replied super fast and paid for it that same day. got it literally 2 days later! Product looked great and he even sent an email with detailed installation tips as well. My bug runs so much better with this pump rather than the cheap one i got beforehand. would totally do business again! |

I ordered an 034 vacuum distributor from Bill. I was referred to him by the guy I got my carburetor from (Tim, @volkzbitz.com). All I can say is Bill is awesome. Not only did I get that beautiful dizzy, I also got a NOS Pierburg fuel pump. I had the new carb, distributor and fuel pump installed today and my car now runs like a swiss watch. It's NEVER run this nice! I am thrilled to pieces and over the moon. Bill's customer service is great. The shipping was amazingly fast, and the craftsmanship and knowledge he possesses is unmatched. He even included great tips and info about installing the fuel pump and distributor.
I recommend him 200%! |

I just received my refurbished DVDA from Bill today. I dropped it in and timed it - my Beetle now runs like like new with my Volkzbitz carb.
I had a basic question or two which Bill answered in minutes over email.
Shipping was lightning fast - I talked to Bill over the weekend, he shipped it Monday from Arizona and it arrived in Virginia on Wednesday. _________________ 1968 Beetle |

I purchased a restored svda distributor from Bill last week,it was a pleasure doing business with someone who takes great pride in workmanship!
The distributor was restored to new condition, shipped fast and works great in my bus.
Bill was even kind enough to share helpful information for installation and maintenance.
Thanks! |

I sent Bill two bus 205q distributors for evaluation and then had him rebuild one of them. I just received it back today and put it in my stock 1600 dp and boy what a difference it made! It looks brand new and I had him replate the misc parts too. He knows how to tune it for you vehicles needs and his communication and willingness to help was beyond what I expected. I learned a lot through the process too.
Great to have this kind of service with a Sun machine out there. Thank you Bill! _________________ 71 Westy 1600 DP, all stock Bus 1

I just received a second DVDA from Bill - I figured it would be good to have a spare for when the first one dies in 40 years
The second is as excellent as the first. Whenever I get another VW I'll be going back to Bill. _________________ 1968 Beetle |
