Hi guys!
( P.S. I am sorry for my grammar and my vocabular and I apologize right now! )
This is my blue project panel to learn better about split buses so when it comes to do a better one we will be prepared.
I have bought almost everything needed for getting metal work done but I have a few questions.
I cant find sliding door floor part ( dont know how to spell it ).
I would like to see some detailed photos of this piece during the welding.
I would like to see some detailed photos of floor at the edges near the side metal panels. What am I missing? There should be some U profil at the end of cross members but cant find one either. Some link would be great!
These are some photos.

http://oacdp.org/5867part.html#fs
Pages 725-735 are for sliding door parts for split bus
Hope that helps. Looks like you have welding to do!!
Sliding doors splits are fairly uncommon. Pretty rare in the US. There's a guy in Wales who has a sliding door deluxe he loves, maybe he can takes pics for you? |

Thanks, I have that scheme, but cant figure it out.
Here are some handmade metal sheets.
Some parts are not so good, so I have ordered it from web.
I have bought these from one guy to see what he does good and what is not so good so I can know for the next Bus.
All job on this 67 panel is for learning these buses so I can make the one for me and my family. This one will be sold ( if we can get it done ). _________________ Proud to be Croat! |

Nice work! That bus is going to turn out great! I spent 3 weeks in Croatia in 2001. Beautiful country! Started off in Rijeka and went up to Slunj (If my memory serves me) and came back to Rijeka where we loaded the boat back up and took off for Rota, Spain. |

Wow...how come you have visited Slunj?
Usually people come to see Dubrovnik and samo music festivals...but Slunj is more beautifull and it is the perfect place to free your mind!
I am glad you did that!
I didnt make those metal sheets by myself. I have bought them nearby. _________________ Proud to be Croat! |

Hey guys!
Is there any place I can find lower inner part for my doors? We could make that but dont have enough "meat" to measure it.
I bought some parts and you can see diffence between t1 ( silver ) and bay ( black ) model.
But now I miss that piece where the door roller goes... I would like to see some good pictures with measurements so we can make those...
And this is outer door panel for bay window ( not going to use it ).
Please, take some time and take a picture if you have sliding door panel!
Thanks! _________________ Proud to be Croat! |

I have to admit I am jealous of your work on making those pieces. They look great!

I have a slider bus. Check out my thread, on page three I get into metal repair.
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=...p;start=40 .
Be careful with the metal for the slider. The outrigger and jack point have to be modified:

update on some metal work finally.
I just removed the out rigger and jackpoint in order to weld in new ones but without everything it looks like this!
outrigger had to modified to fit. It is shorter due to the inner rocker, same with the jackpoint. The inner rocker for the door was tricky. I have not had a chance to crawl under a bay window but is it the same.
placement:
messy mig welding but its strong and secure.

Good evening,
when I see orangebug60guy's pictures, I realise mines will not help you that much.
But I can't upload such photos because I have belly deluxe pans... SORRY. Here come mines:

"A pillar"
You mean this?
I left these couple of pictures large on purpose. Their main purpose wasn't for forum posting so they are too dark and the details aren't really visible. |

And I believe you might be interested
The bottom of the inner part is from T2
Highly sophisticated straightening.
Sliding door and sill does not exist in Europe. I would know if someone sells them.
I do not have any measure, but ...
Rusty part to the right is all that I had when I started, and that was enough for me to make a complete sill
