I purchased na 1958 Beetle, and with it came a VDO TACHOMETER WERKE GERMANY 5 JEWELS UNADJUSTED clock, in disrepair. It's all there, but it does not go tic-toc. Where can I send it for cleaning/lubrication/repair? Thank you.

Probably best to post this in the "Accessories" thread for the most/best answers.

Also, there are threads on how to fix old clocks; try searching and you may find it's something you can do, or at least find links to shops.

Good luck!

Get a copy of Hemmings, lots of specialists advertise in there.

If it’s JUST the mechanicals... Surprisingly... your local Fred Meyer, Walmart or mall. Any place with a jewelry/watch shop inside it. You know the small ones by the door? Price shop a bit. The innards are basically a watch. Second generation foreigners in these places are wizards with old stuff and the price is usually right. AND if it stops working, you just unscrew it and hand it back to them instead of putting a stamp on a box.

I wouldn’t take anything precious in there, but they did a fine job on both my daily drivers.
