Wondering if someone could shed some light on the problem I am having with my EV. Van was running fine and started stalling intermittently. My local mechanic diagnosed it after it stopped running altogether as a faulty distributor. Distributor replaced and now the idle is stuck at 1800-2500 rpm after starting and hitting the gas. Any ideas?
I have checked the ECU vacuum line and it is solid and not pinched, mechanic checked fuses and I replaced the Idle valve with a known good one and still having the same issue. |

I hope you have already fixed this issue, but it sounds like you need to reset the ecu. Put radiator in service position. Unplug blue coolant temp sensor. Let van run until operating temp. Rev the engine to 3 k 3 times. Plug sensor back in. I had to shut my van off and start it again, but it fixed it for me |

Thanks for the suggestion, had forgotten to check responses to this, but did this and it made things better. Planning on doing it again to see if it resolves it fully, but even the way it is now, it has made a WORLD of difference. No mechanic I had taken the van to even tried this. |
