So.... I was given a nice set of 4 Porsche 7 Slots in 16x7 ET65 and thinking about running them on my 1998 Mexcan Spec 1600i Bug. You dont see mainy porsche 7 slots on Bugs and I really like the look. My car currently has a 3 inch narrowed front beam with stock disc brakes and Avis adjusters with stock spindles...... Rear has the standard long axles Swing Axle with drums....
Is it even possible to run 16x7 ET 65 wheels all around ?
I am thinking that instead of custom 5x130 rear drums, I would run 4X130 to 5X130 adapters front which are 1.5 inches thick and then for the rear run the 2 inch thick 4x130 to 5x130 adapters..... I could allways add 5x130 spacers onto the adapters but want to minimize using additional spacers...........
I guess I am just thinking out loud but wanted to hear the thoughts of others. _________________ Started playing with VW's back in 1985 but took an 8 year "break" from the hobby. Sickness took over and I just purchased a clean low mileage Mexi Beetle with AC and Fuel Injection. |

Get some custom adaptors made up if that’s what you need. I’m running a 2 inch spacer on the front of mine and have no concerns.
