headlamp glass question

i got this glass together With some other oval and split glass, i have never seen this type before. anyone who can enlighten me ?

in the split section is a fresh link about a swedish auction.

the photos are fantastic!

the 48 split seems to have them. the 49 split already has the headlights with inner circle in the glass

That is a "fluted" lens for a non-USA delivery early Beetle. Fluting changed depending on the country, and the fluting in the curved exterior lens directed the light to where it was supposed to shine on the roadway. On USA spec cars the fluting is on the sealed beam light bulb and is covered by a generally smooth curved exterior glass without fluting. Fluted lenses are different for Beetles and Buses.

I'm thinking mid-1950s French market, before the yellow lenses became the standard.
