Got er hooked up, concerned the fuel is too old, the carb needs rebuilt because I got it used (let alone jetted), the brakes need bled as I found when I hit the pedal (hopefully haven't sprung a leak), and currently no power from the ignition.

Starter goes fine, and engine turns over. At least I am circulating oil through the system this way and letting it sit.

My ignition was bad, I replaced it, with a junk one (or blew it out somehow), then replaced it again. Then blew the engine.

Looking to get minimum spark, then I can move on to fuel.

The engine is running well and mostly correctly, I think I might have an issue with the fan. It makes a loud whirring or grind noise once in a while.

It also threw some spray from the rear seal... Confused

going to work on housing adjustments

Weber Progressive 32/36 is working pretty well this is what I currently have for jets:

Primary idle jet 40
Secondary Idle Jet 37.5

Primary Main xxx
Secondary Main xxx

Primary Air 145
Secondary Air 140

I think I am due to get some jets:

Primary Idle Jet 45
Secondary Idle Jet 60

Primary Main 125
Secondary Main 190

Primary Air 160
Secondary Air 180

After getting the engine going, the starter went out. So I replace it and now I have a voltage leak that is inexplicable.

So... I made the plunge and ordered the complete wiring harness kit.

AND then the brake pedal rusted stiff due to the sunroof (skylight) leaking then pooling by the pedal.

Sooo. I pulled the pedal out and am tearing that apart. I have a question on another thread about that if anyone wants to say anything.

Trying to get rolling so I can take it to the upholstery guy and he can redo my three fold. I sewed my own vinyl one and it was not much better than the original.

Pictures of such on my instagram

I was able to get my pedal assembly back together and painted. I got one of the Airkewled six shooter cable adjusters and am glad I did. The tiny 7mm hex nut on there took me about 4 hours to take off with an open end and box end wrench, and vice grip. I put the spinner on in less than a minute or two.

Now they are back in the car and I have taken it on a tour, it was great, and the brake pedal returns on its own without pulling it up with my foot.

Now back to my electrical leak.

I have a 12v leak at the positive terminal on the battery with the key in the off position. When I test it after pulling one wire at a time off the headlight switch I get 12v with all wires attached. Then 3v with the main red wire from the loom wire pulled, 12v with the switched wire. and another 3v on the other position.

I've been working on cleaning the engine up. I've got a new shroud to install and throttle linkage.
