This video suggests using a direct mount reservoir on the dual m/c and then cutting a hole for a grommet in this new reservoir. This allows you keep your original reservoir as a brake fluid source and simplifies the fluid check and fill process. Has anyone used this method? Is there a downside? I think the direct mount reservoir sold by jbugs would just fit the Brazilian m/c’s.[/youtube]https://www.jbugs.com/product/Video-Large-Bore-Master-Cylinder.html

Seems like it would work fine as long as you use the "2nd reservoir" for the purpose they mention . . . as a funnel ONLY.
Once the main reservoir is full, any additional fluid in the "2nd reservoir" will continue to flow out of the breather hole in the cap of the main reservoir and onto the chassis.
You would not use the "2nd reservoir" to store additional fluid.
Now . . . if the hole for grommet were drilled into the cap . . . right where the breather hole is . . . instead of drilling into the reservoir tank body . . . Idea

I considered all this when I installed the dual-circuit M/C in my '62 . . . I figured that since I will need to have the front of the car up on stands while bleeding the brakes . . . I can just reach right there to add fluid. Wink
I sure have seen lots of trunk paint eaten by brake fluid!

For those willing to do just a little more work you can buy a 67 reservoir, enlarge the hole just a tad on body and plumb same as 67. Looks right and it works.

im in the same boat. i have all the parts ready for front disc from cb. when it came time i went to my local parts house (bughaus- eric is a good dude) and bought the 67 reservoir with plans to use that. after going back in forth in my head i just couldnt bring myself to opening up the reservoir hole in the nose so i now have changed plans and have bought the parts to mount the reservoir right on the dual circuit mc. i plan to add fluid using large angled plastic syringes you can find online.

i had the same thought about drilling the cap to fill the reservoir, but in the end it should be a closed system, so i really only plan to watch the reservoir when changing wheels in the event i need to add fluid.
