Yep, the top has come unglued from the rear window. I tried gluing it back on but the top is curled and stiff with no ability to stretch so I have very little mating surface. Here is my idea....to add material to the top so I have more of a mating surface to glue to the rear window. I'm thinking a 3" strip sewn into the top would give me enough material to have an adequate mating surface to glue it back on. I'm not overly concerned about looks at this time. I just need to keep that window attached. Thoughts? Question

I’ve seen where upholstery shops remove the glass & see in one of the PVC windows. Past that, you get to replace the top, nothing will bond to the old glass or the top because of the failed adhesive.

I've successfully glued the bottom of the rear window to the canvas and that is holding for 2 years now. I used Rhino Glue. But the top of the window there just isn't enough of a mating surface to be able to "get a bite", plus I believe the top has shrunk with age and the canvas isn't as flexible as it once was. Even if I lose 1" of window that wouldn't bother me at all. The price of a top is $700+ and that is with me installing it, so I'm looking at all alternatives.
