(I am sure there is a technical name for them, but I don't know it.)
How can I get the female end of the electrical tab connectors out of the square plastic group connectors that plug into the double relay?
I thought my fuel pump was dying on my trip out to Yellowstone National Park this year. It took some creative problem solving traveling off the interstate across South Dakota in the middle of nowhere. Finally, I found that it was further upstream (electronically speaking) from the fuel pump. It was intermittently deciding not to work on me, but each time I would take it off and test it directly from the battery, it worked fine. Long story short: it was the relay. Or to be more specific, it was the connections to the relay that were rusted and needed to be cleaned thouroughly. I cleaned the tabs that come out of the bottom of the relay, but I don't know how to get the female ends of the tab connectors out of the square plastic thingys so that I can clean them thoroughly too. Is there a plastic tab to depress somewhere that will free them one by one? I don't want to pull too hard and break them.
Here is a pic:
