What gauge is the wire supposed to be that comes from the positive terminal on the coil, to the idle solenoid and eventually to the choke, and is this a resistance wire? If so, what should the resistance be reading across each point?

This is a 1973 Super Beetle with a Pertronix 3 ohm coil, and a 34 PICT 3 carburetor if that helps any

14 gauge.

No resistance. Normal copper stranded wire.

Factory spec is 0.5mm2 wire -- this is about 22awg.
