Are the plastic hooks too thick for the stock luggage rack loops?

Oooo quite possibly. I didn't think of that. Looking at Amazon - I don't think I'll find a better net. I might have to add carabiners or other hooks

I bought some cheap hardware store S hooks, and bent one end to 'crimp' them onto the bungee net.
