Excellent stuff!

We used to have a resin-casting business, so I know the pain of making tiny parts and molding them. The great thing of having those molds is that you can always make more when needed!!

That engine would be right at home in this bus.

This is the Revell Bed Bug from 1969, kit No. S-3101. I first built it in the '70s, and then rebuilt it as a Kodak logo van in the 1990s.
Mods include dechroming and real wheelwells. Note "West Coast" mirrors and rhinestone turn signals.

Above the beltline it's a found decal. The image below the beltline was created.

Interesting question. I'm not aware that there ever was such a beast. There was, however, a model wannabe in 1/25 scale
that can be detailed using parts from 1/25 models.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

There were also never models of the Type 3 or Type 181, at least not in the classic model kit sense.

Interesting. I wonder if I could do some kit bashing between the 1303 model and the Revell ‘68.

Harely Quinn Bug update - body finally in primer - this body has been heavily modified in about every way i could think up, lots of old school stuff here including - suicide hood, suicide decklid, crotch coolers, semiphores, ragtop, split rear windows, split front windows, 1 flipped wiper blade, built in sun visor, and crazy doors,,, i do not know what to call these, not gull wings,, how about clamshell? i am open to suggestions on the name, note that the doors have the running boards built into them, so they flip down with the door, also the door have steps built into them, for easy in and out. the back has been extended significantly, and a porsche 911 whale tail added, i know some of you will not think that is old school ,,, but 1986 is not exactly new. much more to do, but it is coming along nice.

It's not crazy enough.

JUST KIDDING.

We all have own build styles, and your style is instantly recognizable. I can only wonder what your real cars look like!

Edit: a peak into his Samba gallery reveals these two nicely detailed cars:

I can totally see the same aesthetic in the cars (colorful engines, close attention to detail, etc.)

i finished the Harley Quinn Bug today, 6 month build time. Getting the paint job right took way too long, note that all glass matches the body panels, black panels have black smoked glass, red panels have red tinted windows, car is right hand drive, with "aeroplace" steering wheel, right side semaphore is up, both crotch coolers are open, tilt front end has a sign that reads "pocked change" for the pile of 100 dollar bills sitting where the spare tire should be, tail lights looks like Gatling guns,, or is it Gatling guns that look like tail lights? maybe they are both, front window is split, has built in sun screen, rag top sunroof, huge back tires, 4 wheel floating fenders, her mallet is on the ground and there are 3 cutouts of her being used as decoys. engine is Porsche flat 6 turbo, seats pivot and fold down doors have steps built into them, gull wing side windows, floors have wooden duck boards,,, kinda over the top, eh?

and finally, display has red metallic floor, just to be classy

plexiglass was bonded together with methylene chloride MeCL2, this stuff is way better than any glue, MeCL2 is the ultimate paint stripper, the main ingredient in old school carb cleaner, and happend to be good for chemically welding plexiglass, you can buy it off ebay..

Absolutely.

What's most interesting about this build is that you kept the original theme of the kit.

I can't imagine what's next, so keep us in the loop.
