Hi I’ve recently finished restoring my late t25 to do this I purchased a compressor and all the painting gear.
I want to paint a set of fat 5s for the bus. And a set of 4 17” wheels for the mrs. I want to use the gun and experiment with metal flake and clear coat. Does anyone know roughly how much paint I will use/require?
Also what is polyester base coat can this be used instead of high gloss base coat and assuming the lacquer will create the gloss finish?
Any advice would be massively appreciated, please non of the it’ll cost you so much in paint may as well pay the extra £.. and get it properly done. I enjoy this sort of thing and am keen and wanting to learn. Cheers jack |

Pick a local Auto Paint Supplies to buy everything from & follow their advice/guidance/products.
Spray some test pieces before you spray your wheels etc.
