Need help, again. Changed out the master cylinder and power booster on my 71 bus. Reused both of the electrical switches I think one is a brake light I’m not sure what the other one is anyway now that I’ve got everything back together great pedal pressure great stopping but the brake lights stay on all the time. I can depress the brake pedal about halfway in the brake light goes off and I push it a little further and then it comes back on. Why do I have two electrical switches on there and what have I done wrong? Also the pushbutton brake light on the dashboard does not come on. Both the brake light and the button would light up before I took this all apart.

Hmmmm....., odd that it acts up even more at part pressure.

There's 2 switches because each one is capable of operating that B light on the dash, if one activates and the other doesn't the light on the dash tells you there's a pressure difference between the front and rear and you'd better hang on tight.

You may have disturbed some crap in one of the switches, sometimes you can ressurect them by flushing with brakekleen and compressed air, other times the only option is to roll the dice on a crappy new switch. Or maybe one or more of the wires isn't making good contact or broke while you messed with them, time to break out the test light and see where the power isn't going (72 circuit depicted below, signal and hazard switch is different but the part you touched is the same), click twice to rebigulate.
