just bought a RGBWW (warm white) kit from amazon channels and extra wire. May tackle this project this weekend and i will update with pics. My contolrler says it will run with 12-24v. I went RGB because why not! Color changing and flashing lights in westy just seems fun. |

Good stuff.
Wanted to link in a thread for a wiring mod I put together for door switches and zoning of interior lights, could definitely used in conjunction with many of your mods.

How is everyone wiring up their led strips? I ran wires from the light , to a switch, and then to battery and ground...ended up smelling my switch burning before I disconnected it lol _________________ 73 Thing

You would have your hot from battery to fuse to switch to light. Then ground from light to chassis. Or hot to fuse to light then ground from light to switch to chassis. Not understanding your problem. Maybe you are putting the ground and hot to switch? Remember only one leg goes to switch. This picture shows ground going to battery, but you can just ground to body of car if it's easier.

Unlike referenced in the title - these are not entirely flexible, but work exceptionally well in my rig:
LED Pots (off - daytime)
LED Pots (on - daytime)
Reading Lights (dimmable + double as night lights - full rotation + up/down)
All sourced off Amazon - pots are breakered/switched, while reading lights are breakered and are touch control. Galley light is also LED sourced through SuperBright.
