"Not legal to import to the US due to age and non compliance."
Actually should be legal to import to U.S. due to age--I imported a '92 last year, and '93s that are over 25 years old should be legal to import now (i.e., depending on when in '93 they were manufactured). _________________ '99 TDI Weekender |

Can you imagine the price they'd be asking if that were a T3 Doka with A/C, heated seats, rear locker, TDI, re-geared transmission, driver side second row door, NATO box, etc. It would easily be twice the asking price.
That CV also seems to be priced low for what the buyer gets relative to an equivalent T3. It's also importable to the US. Killer deal. |
Totally agree.
Have you seen my T4 DoKa that I have listed? Its not TDI but it's a very well sorted AAF. Zero rust ever. It would bring $10K + over my asking were it were a T3 with the same options and condition. |

Not mine, but in my local craigslist:

This camper has been taken care of tenderly. Low Miles (72,000), Good Condition. No seat/fabric tears anywhere.
I have all the records from (45,000 mi til current). There is some carfax history on it prior to that date. I have Bently service manuals on it , These vehicles are rated at about 18-20 mpg. Brand new tires, newer shocks, furnace, converter, car and coach battery, transmission cooler, etc. Just passed emissions test in May. I have custom made insulation blankets that go around all the tent fabric on the inside of coach. Keeps it warmer in cold weather. |

Buyer Question:
2002 VW Eurovan Westfalia
138k miles
Transmission replaced 8k miles ago (brand new VW Transmission)
Engine water pump blew, dropped coolant. Warped head.
Has donor VR6 engine, complete.
Would be buying this van from a couple I used to work for, and used to see this van once a week for a couple years. (was the Costco hauling rig for produce as I worked at a local bistro). The current owners bought it used with 20k back in 2005/2006.
What is this van worth? Realistically, needing to complete an engine swap, what would be a respectable offer for both parties?
Overall condition 6.5/7 out of 10.
Thanks for any insight,
