LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Peggy Sue Gerron was born on June 15, 1940, in Olton, Texas, and grew up in Lubbock, Texas. Sources say she passed away in a Lubbock hospital this morning at the age of 78.
Buddy Holly tagged her in the love ballad “Peggy Sue,” but she wasn’t Buddy’s love. She was in a relationship with Jerry Allison, the drummer of the Crickets.

Dave Anderson, who spent more than 40 years as a columnist and reporter for The New York Times, has died at the age of 89.
Anderson died Thursday at an assisted living center in Cresskill, New Jersey, according to his son Steve.
Anderson won a Pulitzer Prize.

Literally yesterday I watched a video about The Beatles and him. Sgt. Pepper's is one of my favorite albums.

Wife and I just watched the RFK documentary a couple of nights ago. He was interviewed in that documentary.

One of those actors you see all the time but don't necessarily know their name. He had an extensive career appearing in such well known films as The Heat of the Night, In Cold Blood, and The Right Stuff.
