SKT posted this last December. I drove by yesterday. I've known about this place for years. The bug has been moved and what's left of the building has been cleared.

There are all types of classic cars returning to the earth. There are various stories about who owns the lot. Over the years more cars are added and left to rot. Nothing is for sale.

Whats left of the building in SKT's pic used to be standing but collapsed on top of classic Rolls Royces, Bentleys, split window Corvettes and various muscle cars. The were all destroyed when the building fell on them. Crying shame!

This in my opinion is awful. Why buy the cars if you aren't going to do anything with them? Then, to let them rot away and not even place them in storage. When that building collapsed, if the cars that were in it were what you said they were, then hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cars were destroyed. Terrible.

Went to his house today to pic up some boxes of parts and some engines. It's been just under year since we were last there. Here is another pic of the 66 which has probably sunk another few inches towards mama earth. Also his rail. He had some OG 36 horse motors just sitting in a shed Sad Sad

I found these years ago, owner wouldn't sell, "I'm going to restore them.".

Looks like it could be left that way and made to run.
Not fast though. Doubt the clover can hold on tight.

Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.
Do what you want. Ignore the elitists. Drive your VW. Enjoy life.

Anyone else try to make out what the mangled mess is farther up the hill? Looks almost like a smashed barndoor with added vents in the roof.
