I've been told the rear bumper corners are more squared-off than the Buses.... Is this true? Any photos? I have a January '68 Single Cab with a damaged rear bumper that I want to confirm is the correct bumper, before I have it straightened.

bumpers are the same, the physical rear corner sheet metal is different and so are the battery trays

The late bay trucks have a very distinct shape on the lower corners. There is an indentation that allows the standard bumpers to fit with the squared off rear corner. Nobody makes replacement sheet metal for it as far as I have found. I have owned 3 different late bay double cabs, and sure enough, the one I’m keeping has damage on the passenger rear corner. Hopefully I’ll get lucky and some euro truck owner will part his for the greater good.

Not in Bay times. Only for a few months after the switch from pressed bumpers to over riders in 58-59.

Oh, this will be fun! I can add these items off the top of my head, based on my work with a 1975 single cab and 1978 double cab:

For both SC and DC pickups:

- rear window and seal

- plastic vent tube connecting the high air intake grille in the last pillar to the frame rail that goes back to the engine compartment

- fuel tank vapor lines (I may have that crossover line upside down in this photo.)

...and too many body parts to mention. Basically, everything aft of the cab.

Unique to Single cab:

- storage compartment doors, seals, locks

- long bed components, including gates, slats, and tilt

Unique to Double cab:

- crew cab doors, seals, latches and door internals, windows
- rear seat and pedestal
- short bed components, including gates, slats, and tilt
