Lil P and I took the bus to Wolf Creek Ski Area today and skied. October 14th is definitely the eariest I’ve ever skied! Bus killed it and the heat was HOT!
Zonked out after 11 runs.

Festival!!!!!
This weekend we went to the Folk N Hay festival in Hesperus, Co. I think this was our 5th festival of the summer. This was a small event with 6 bands and on site camping. It was a super fun time, the music was great, lots of close friends were there and it was a good way to round out our summer of camping. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, didn’t even have to use the Mr. Buddy.
Photo dump:
Miles was all about helping with the leveling blocks.

Changed the oil today, it had been 4300 miles since the last change. I adjusted the valves, it had been 7200 miles since the last adjustment. All were a bit tight except #2 intake, it was perfect. I used new cork gaskets on the valve covers. I also adjusted the brakes, it had been 3000 miles since there last adjustment. I wanted to rotate the tires but my compressor broke, so that will have to wait. _________________ __________

Took the bus to opening day at Purgatory Ski Resort yesterday. The bus killed it and we had a great time making turns on the slopes. 🎿 🏔
Can never have too much Ska beer!
Stopped at the Ole School House for pizza and wings on the way home.

A friend painted this and framed it for me for Christmas. Inspired by the photo I took on the 2018 SW Co Off Road Trip. I sure am gonna miss this bus when I sell it. 😢
Merry Christmas! 🎄 _________________ __________

Another day on the slopes 🏂. I always say a bus works just as good to put your skiing gear on as it does to put your wet suit on. It’s all water.

Hahahahaha, nice! Since that song come out I’ve always said Dips. I’ll have to watch the video again and see if they show the sign.
Thanks for playing Notch. _________________ __________

After 9 years of unforgettable memories The Bone Bus went to a new home yesterday. I bought The Bone Bus in 2010, then spent most of 2011 making it toad worthy. Through the years The Bone Bus has taken my family and I on some epic adventures. The memories we’ve made with this bus will last a lifetime.
Brian, one of the moderators, drove out from San Diego yesterday to pick it up and drive it back. I wish him the.very best of luck with it and I hope it treats him as good as it has treated us. The Bone Bus has a great soul and wants to be driven, in convinced it loves the adventures as much as we do.
For us we are moving forward with a ‘71 Pop Top Westy build that has already started. Closing one chapter, but beginning another.
Thank you Bone Bus for all you’ve done for is over the years, we will miss you! 😘
Rich P.

Well, so far the bus took me through Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon so I'd say yes the adventures are happening. And will keep happening.
Thanks again Rich, and I hope Miles will forgive me some day
