About all that's good on that hunk of scrap metal. that's the classic " I just bought this for $300 bucks and i'm fishing for an idiot " ad.. watch out for those samba flakes!!! |
That seems like his M.O., jack up the price 3-4 times the value & hope it sells.... _________________ Tom

yes. 8 pages of ads %90 of which are about double what the stuff would normally go for. He has made the wines before with his $199 pile of junk 62 and later taillight parts. |

[quote="easy e"]8 pages?
You forgot about the other two pages from the other username.
(well, to be fair, maybe there's two brothers living in the same house?)
Yep same dude that I posted about in that Swap Meet Etiquette thread-
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8889580&highlight=#8889580
And the Dude that got hosed posted in Tony's (Tone L ?) feed back about that Flanders show Dick move:
Quote esde:
I've bought and sold some stuff through Samba and facebook with Tony, without issue. Prompt payment, packed fine, etc.
Ran into him at Flanders and found him to be completely rude and obnoxious. Was waiting for a seller to finish talking with another client with my hand on the item I wanted to purchase. Tony shouldered me out of the way and interrupted the seller to make a deal.
I could've spoken up, argued, or made a scene, BUT, I am involved because (up until this point) people are exceptionally fair and considerate. I don't want to get into my bus and think, Oh, theres the seat I had to fight that guy for..
And I'm not some thin skinned dude. If you see something 10 seconds before me, and make a deal, good for you. If you offer 10 bucks more for something, and I just don't have it, great. Get your project done, I'm sure I'll find my parts elsewhere. But I've never been pushed aside, and then have to have Tony wave at me later as if we were friends. F that dude.
Tony: I'll find another seat so my wife can ride shotgun. Hope you have fun hoarding stuff. _________________ Tom

He’s fucked over everyone he’s been in contact with including me. I was tempted to beat his ass at Flanders ! I saw the seat fuckover in person and he lingered like a schoolyard perv forever! and the seller was a cool dude I sat and chatted it up with a while. And he had already had bad dealings with that fuckface previously but was there to unload stuff. We should all shun his ass and call him out whenever he approaches. He makes good people hate to deal Parts. _________________ So what I drive the short bus! |

Its nice to know that those kind of "special" people exist out on the east coast as well. we have a couple of them out here and luckily I know their faces and can adjust my prices accordingly when I see them coming |

Looks like it was $150K dropped to $115K?
Even $115K is crazy in my opinion, you could buy a nicer 23-Window for that.
The rarity adds value though.
I think if it was 1/2 that it would sell. |
I heard this went pending after OCTO for $65,000 where it was for sale for $75,000 OBO and now the ad says pending at $95,000, oh wait it just got raised to $105,000, the lies just keep getting bigger and less believable. Really, $65,000 was way too much considering the needed rust repair, lack of correct middle seat, no headliner, poor interior panels and overall poor presentation etc, but good luck to the new owner! |
