So I got this set of dual cannons:

They are way to loud to drive around Bavaria with so I'm thinking of getting these:

That have the baffle, I even think I can wrap some more fiberglass around the baffle to silence it more.

Question is, has anyone mounted the second set with dual carbs? There is a difference in the front exhaust tube bending only once, compared to three times, which I'm assuming helps balance the exhaust better.

Any comments?

Oh, yeah, I know I'm losing HP with these, just going back to old school look.

I'm not sure the second will be much quieter than the first. What kind of dual carbs?

I see Empi sells a "dune buggy dual" type system that is 4 separate pipes, one for each cylinder. That should eliminate the dreaded 2 cylinder rich idle usually seen with dune buggy duals and 2 single barrel carbs. I don't know about volume, but they do sell inserts for them.

Personally I would go with the first set you posted because of the longer piping and just fit better mufflers on them. The second set with the short front pipes will not run as well.
