It looked like exactly like my Chloe, except for missing lots of "age spots".
I sent this pic to my brother along with a text saying I passed this on the way to the Grand Canyon.
His response was "Chloe passed something?!?"
I used to like him.... |

Was on a road trip with Ms. AlmostHeaven and we saw this guy hanging out in the driveway as we passed through one of the many nice little towns.

Spotted two Bays on the Way today.
First was on highway 24 headed toward Colorado Springs, just a few miles away from town. It was a white early bay, I believe. For sure had the earlier style Westy roof; I don't remember for sure if it had high or low turn signals though. Was being followed by a red Vanagon.
Second was on Interstate 70 heading east, maybe 10:30ish(?) I think we were just east of Abilene when I passed it. I hope I wasn't a jerk in doing so, but I did take a little delight in walking past it as I gave my bus a little more throttle... But I was close to the end of a long day's drive (see earlier comment...) and I did spend a lot of time and money putting that TDI motor in there.
I was in my '78 Bus. Was heading back from Road Trip, a retreat for foster and adoptive dads at a place up the mountain from Colorado Springs. A lot of those guys flew in, but my buddy and I made it an actual road trip in the Bus.

That's so cool to have been spotted in this thread Dave. That was me in the Millennium Falcon and my buddy in his Vanagon. We were on our way back to Denver from a day trip to the Paint Mines near Calhan. I remember waving as you were going the other way!

Saw a nice Blue white Westy on Route 66 headed out of Northampton on Sunday. Smokey was right there so I didn't want to use camera _________________ .ssS! |

For some reason, it's rare to spot a Bay in my area.
But this afternoon on my way home, I spotted this beauty...
This is the first time I've seen overriders on a late bay.

that looks like an original blue plate (rather than the recentish reissue)
This bus may have been owned and loved since the 80s
It's certainly well cared for. _________________ ~Kevin
