Fresh air box ducting

Does anyone have any idea what to use to connect the ducting to the fresh air box? I've looked online for ideas and checked with parts suppliers but with no luck.

I've seen these factory fabric-like sleeves with 2 snaps, suppose one could readily make something similar. Looks like VW used leftover scrap for these, look somewhat similar to home carpet padding.

Not one of VW" better alignments, short hose available from WW then the wrap, I use jute with some lashing cord

Alum ducting with diameter to fit OD on box and ID on plastic duct as closely as possible.
