Ha! Now we are getting creative👍
I was thinking spare parts/tools, rifle/ammo and water tank.
Also playing with the idea of a collapsible camper kit, removable drawers that store above the engine while driving and the collapsible pieces store under the floor, assembled on arrival of camp. But I think I have enough to sort out already. |

With wiring/mechanicals coming up next it is time to get the cab interior in order.
Unfortunately I was unable to order new pedestal mats, so I’m hoping
I can get the same look/function from some marine vinyl flooring I
Stumbled into.
The cab floor is suffering from the same fate, made the best template
I could manage and cut some marine grade carpet for a test fit, first
Fit has me pretty positive about the future. |

So far so good on wiring, speedo pod will be interesting though.
Front kick panels were a nice addition.
Some more finished on the engine mock up all coolant lines sorted, vacuum
Run, heat shielding for exhaust etc, wiring harness being built.
Ordered a heat, defrost and AC unit from vintage air and the fit is great, may even be able to keep a very downsized glovebox after all is said and done.
Picked up my eberspacher D2L for install also |

Well I have really been slacking about updates, but the bus moved under it's own power since all this madness began. Still need to figure out the throttle cable, finish up the exhaust and some other things but pretty stoked.

Wow I had no idea how nuts your build was. I thought it was just a 2.0 swap
Just watched your youtube videos. Real motivation to get mine running! |

Thanks, it's nice to be able to finally drive this thing
although I'm now knee deep into fitting a Eurovan westfalia
interior into it. Closer every day though. |

Thanks. 👍🏼
I have a bunch more photos I can add if there is interest, plenty of things still to do but in my humble opinion... this bus kicks ass. |

Just before installing the engine
Finishing up the bay window to vanagon jack ports
Finishing the modifications for vanagon shock mount
Vanagon brake/clutch pedal cluster install went well
Modifying the eurovan westy kit took a little more effort than I had thought it would but I am happy with the results so far. Still a lot to do, maintenance and replacement of worn parts will keep me busy on top of a laundry list of things to finish. Bus has preformed well for me and every step forward makes me happier that I attempted this project.
Thanks for lookin. |
