I haven't had a bay in a couple of years and have been casually looking for a new daily driver. Drove this on Sunday and bought it on Monday. It's an automatic, which I've always been a little leery of (not sure why). It drives so smooth and nice. Rebuilt engine, nice stereo, repainted with factory codes, only rust is in the inner rockers, original interior. This thing drives soooooo nice. I'm super happy about it.

Nice bus! My 78 has the same paint but yours definitely looks better!
Try to do something to address or slow down the rust on the inner rockers if you can - they're a brutal pain to replace properly! _________________ '78 Bus 2.0FI

Looks great!, but I wonder if only the inner rockers are showing thier age because the outers got paved over during that repaint and the flipper didn't bother with the stuff few look for.
How many layers of metal visible on the bottom of the rocker lower pinchweld? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I had a new 1978 too... in 1978! Congrats on the Bus. Nothing wrong with an automatic, either. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Not sure. I'll have to look. I think I'll use some rust stop stuff for now and hopefully it slows things down a bit. Thankfully there's no rust in the more important areas. _________________ "I am convinced that [nothing] in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
