I would not get a complete Pertronix distributor, their quality is not the equal of the original Bosch. If you have the original 205P, I would get it rebuilt. Then you can decide if you want to stick with points or install a Pertronix module inside of it.

I along with Bill rebuild the original distributor.

You mentioned a "screamer", the original "Screamer" was sold by Bosch and included a 019 mechanical distributor along with a coil. When the 019 was discontinued, Bosch used the 009 distributor which is also mechanical only. I can only assume that any new screamer uses a aftermarket 009 copy. DO NOT GET ONE, first they are crap and secondly your 2.0l FI Bus needs a distributor that has both vacuum and mechanical advance like the 205P.

An 022-905-205S is also a good fit and was used in the late bays. It's an SVDA distributor that's excellent after restoration.

I do have some in stock if you need one.

X2 on what Glenn says about any of the new Chinese distributor copies. Poor quality, materials and they simply don't work right. I'd put a restored German Bosch back in it like when it was delivered new.

Shameless self promotion.

That said, it would be the correct move

A Pertronix SVDA will not work optimally out of the box. It must be taken apart cleaned and lubed properly. Then you must check the vac can and verify that it holds vacuum and when the advance moves and stops.

If it all checks out well it will work far better than a cheap 009.
