Does anyone have experience of running 1776 cc barrels and pistons on a 1979 AJ Beetle engine with stock L Jet FI , does it work ok or would larger injectors be all that’s needed etc?

Here's some reading on the subject that may help (I didn't read it myself): https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/search.php?searc..._chars=200

I've been running the modified stock FI sup on my 79 convertible with 1915cc engine for the last 5 years. Lots of 75+ mph drives with the top down. No problems at all. You should be able to look here for information on tweaking AFM.
