There was a casting call advertised in Raleigh, NC, about 30 miles away. I went because of the busses. I was asked if I wanted to be an extra. They needed nurses in the background. Very thought gave me heart palpitations.
Later, I got a call for the camper.
I have a friend who was called by people looking for vehicles for "Love Field". They got his info from the NC DMV for his '63 Ford. _________________ Judy

My 66 pop rop westy was in Forrest Gump. This was told to me by the previous owner (no documentation). I bought it right outside of Washington DC where several scenes were shot. It took me years to find it in the flic. It's really small, in the background, but there it is. I've never downloaded a screen image. Still too busy with the restoration.
Some day. |

My 65 Caravelle camper was just used in musicians Benjah and the band Lovd Ones video. It was all shot here in Daytona. It was a lot of fun shooting the video, I was a little nervous with all of the fireworks, and with him sitting on the roof briefly. Very cool though!

Not so much a movie, but a picture of my bus was painted and sold to someone on the east coast. When I learned about it, I had the artist paint me another. This one is mine

The artist is very good, nice detail work on stuff like the headliner, paint patina, license plate frame and the derriere. If I had them paint one of my Transporters, the girl would definitely have to be turned around...

Here is my 58 Panel in a period feature about the kidnapping of Theodor Albrecht, one of the ALDI owners. At that time (1971) highest ever ransom at 7million German Marks. Aired 10/22/2018.
I thought it captured very well the spirit and aesthetics of the time. _________________ _______________________

It’s called “Die Aldi Büder” and was on TV in Germany, 88min.
Still available here, but this link will unfortunately dry after a couple of weeks or so (you’d need to cut/paste the entire link, for some reason thesamba only links part and I couldn’t define the entire address as url-link):

Congratulations for being chosen. The guy holding the cargo door looks familiar as an actor I like or maybe just resembles him. |

it's a shame they could not find a 2 line licenseplate as appropriate for any VW beetle or bus. _________________ regards

OK, you will have to watch very close, the first one second of this add, and see part of my single cab as it drove by. I think I did it 5 or 6 times at the filming a few years ago.
