So, she had been hinting to make no plans for Tuesday night and my 17yo son and I were trying to figure it out. I even looked at the movie listings because we're kind of picky about not going to movies with today's mix of violence, overwrought social issues, etc. No dice.
So imagine my surprise when we went to the theatre. Eh? It all became clear when we turned the corner and I saw the "Bullit" promo stuff at one of the 10 theatres or so. No way!! It was not even advertised. Two nights here in my home town.
It was awesome sitting next to my son explaining how Steve McQueen was about to show us what "wheel hop" is and I later told him why it happens, etc. Fantastic with the huge screen and the full throated sound of that 68 Mustang vs the huge engine in the Dodge.
Great flick. Anyone else catch it while it was out? _________________ 1987 2WD Wolfsburg Vanagon Weekender "Mango", two fully locked 80 Series LandCruisers. 2017 Subaru Outback boxer. 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 20V with rear locking differential, 1990 burgundy parts Vanagon. 1984 Porsche 944, 1988 Toyota Supra 5 speed targa, 2002 BMW 325iX, 1982 Toyota Sunrader |

Didn't see it, but I am really fond of it too.
The part I always anticipate is when he turns the tables on the charger. They're looking around for him, check the mirror, and Steve crests the hill and comes into focus. In the background, suspenseful music starts a steady build. I can feel it right now! _________________

The sounds of the gear changes are from a GT40 shifting, not a Mustang.
Just one of the many cool aspects of the film. _________________ Good Luck

Like the self replacing hubcaps on the Charger?
Love that chase scene! _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

My wife and I caught it. My first time on the big screen, her first time seeing the movie in it's entirety. It looked and sounded great! _________________ Gary
