Hello! I pulled these parts out of a barn the other day and would like to confirm the year of them. There is a fairly complete engine case, some distributors, old blue coils and some early fuel pumps. Near as I can tell, the engine is a ‘56. Anyone out there able to verify? Is any of this stuff desirable? I can sell it in the Samba classifieds if you guys think I have something here.

Had to look this up because I was curious.

Someone will give insight on those stamped numbers.

| Cast generator pedestal indicates 36 horse case. Or porsche, but I'm betting it's a 36 horse. |

That case# appears to be from late 1956:

Not sure if it is T1 or T2?
