So the other day I was watching an old classic Queen video - I'm in love with my car ... And in it, I noticed a sideways split @ the 2:20 mark for a mere 1/2 second..

I decided to capture the video & while I was rendering it and looking a little closer, I saw the piece below that looks to be attached to maybe the torsion cover? ...

What the heck is it? ..A crude manual turning brake?

I assume it's some sort of brake for ice racing - am I right in thinking that on the cable braked cars the handbrake operates on all 4 wheels - so this device is to give a 'handbrake turn' effect....
never seen that video before, some classic motors being hurled about Shocked
