Saturday August 22 we will be having vw races and also a top 20 car show at Capitol Raceway in Crofton Maryland.
They are running their v8 classes and the VWs will have their own lanes. We have a fast bracket class and a heads up class too. Also new is a top 20 car show and we hope to make this grow as it will be our third year at Capitol. I will have more information shortly

The thread is a bit dated but Slowriders looks to be doing their Raid on the Bay at Sandy Point State Park this year on Sunday Oct 11th starts at 10. I'm not a member but I took my camper last year and had a good time meeting new folks. It did not seem like a there was a ton of interest online but there were 30 or 40 bugs buses and rarities there through the course of the day. Its not a formal show just a get together / cookout. Go to slowriders.net for the poster. _________________ 71 Dormobile "The Sub"

I have a 69 KG out in Ellicott city. I've only seen one bug and another KG out on my rides. Would like to see more VW's. Hit me up to cruise. |

There are a few people in that area that may respond. I moved from Baltimore to Mount Airy recently. That is further away from where you will be but my 57 Oval is ready to ride and the Buggy should be getting its first fire in a couple weeks. So this summer may include more cruising than past years. Let me know when you move up and get settled. Also my college best friend lives in GB so ill likely be in that area this summer.

sounds great Yama! my car ALMOST cruises.. still dialing in timing/carbs..
Cliff, I have facebook but just got a 24 hour ban for offending some snowflake in a veterans page.. lol
We should be moving in on the 12th, gonna take a few days to try to settle in a bit, then flying back to california for a couple of days to visit my parents (mom just got out of the hospital and it's been like 7 years since I visited..) I'll probably be more able to do cruises/meets in July or so.. _________________ -pariah (just a novice from "that other VW site")

I will be having more VW Cruises at my food truck lot this spring. This is in Aberdeen. I have a FB page. Just gotta get the link. It’s Maryland All VW Cruise or something like that. My Wife handles it. Maybe a club could come out of this. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far
