I have taken apart both carburetors twice 4 times on the passenger side. I don't know if there's too much fuel going in the driver side or too little fuel going in the passenger side. What would cause the issue I've cleaned every port and blew carburetor through all the ports doesn't seem to be any blockage.

The left carb shouldn't be dripping fuel. Stuck float or bad inlet valve?
probably post in the Performance/Engines/Transmissions forum for more ideas. |

That helps. That's actually the one thing I did not do to the left carburetor. |

Try tapping the left carb a couple of times with a wooden hammer handle or something similar to free up the float. |

Not sure that either one is correct. The left one obviously has too high of a fuel level while I would think you should see a fuel spray in the right one when you rev the engine.
For the left carb, maybe weigh the float and if the weight is right add an additional shim under the seat for the float valve. |

Left one possible float valve stuck as mentioned-take off top of carb turn it upside down and try to blow into fuel inlet if you can valve is not working properly. Right one does not appear to have fuel spraying out.Possibly stuck check ball located in passage that accelerator nozzle connects into.Remove carburetor. Take top of carb off and gently heat brass tube where it goes into carb body once you get it out (gently) turn carb upside down and the liitle ball should come out-be careful its really small. Spray some carb cleaner in passage and nozzle and blow them out re-assemble remember to put ball back in then put back accelerator nozzle. You can bench test it by filling carb with fuel through a hole in throat and acctuating throttle arm. Once working nozzle can be tweaked (re directed) to spray down carb bottom opening without hitting side of carb on the way down or butterffly plate. |

both carbs are now rebuilt. I thought one float was good so I saved some money and only bought one kit with the float. Well I was wrong. I now need one float that cost half as much as a rebuild kit with float. I always spend more trying to save, story of my life. I think I have them dialed in decent, I am still getting a little popping but nothing too bad. It is now a driver anyways. |
