Wow very cool BarryL I would spend up to $300 or rent a space so I think I'm going to try in this order the tire thing air removal, remove the poptop now that I'm getting good at it or rent a space. I'll keep you posted.

How much do you want to spend?

Has anyone ever heard of a bus storage unit like this giant lunch bag style for motorcycles? |
Not like that but if it didn't get piles of snow and you didn't mind the constant fan: https://www.carid.com/car-capsule/outdoor-bubble-c...gI1hPD_BwE
You could also get VW-to-Chevy adapters and put on older Chevy temporary spare tires. |

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

I've had this one for almost a year now and it is holding up really well. It came from jBugs. This is on a bay window and not a split but it would fit well on split too. $140.00.

This car cover fits the 1954-1972 Volkswagen Bus. The 3 layer material offers maximum protection from water and the elements while maintaining a high degree of breathe-ability. This tough car cover will protect your car from exposure through all the seasons. The soft inner layer protects against scratches and abrasions. |

Linda, I saw this in the Hagerty Magazine today. http://carcapsule.com/showcase-prostation/
There is an indoor version for half the price. |
