Anyone have any idea who made this? Couldn't find it in the dunebuggy archive ID section.
Just picked it up, it will be a street/strip project.

Without more pictures, hard to tell. But has the potential to be a Boss Bug. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

I’m looking to see if anyone might know who Manufactured this body?
A customer brought it into my shop to have me go through it and get it back on the road. It’s been sitting about 25 years.
The only info he had was that his Dad bought it in 1971.
It has its original gel coat, and is made with some nice, thick cloth.
It also has some recessed inner panels that I assume are to give a bit more interior width for the seats.
I’ve had plenty of glass buggies in my shop in the last 35 years- but never one of these.
Anyone have any info on it?
Thanks!

Hello, First let me say that I am new to Dune Buggies but not VW's. I have owned a few in my time. I am posting pictures of a Dune Buggy that I recently purchased so that hopefully some one can identify it for me. I believe it is a Lido but am not sure. Any help would be appreciated |

Ok, new here so I'll post a pic of my new-to-me buggy. Any ideas? I thought the square cutout in the hood would be a dead giveaway but so far nothing...

I’m thinking I’ve got a Boss Bug as someone mentioned earlier. Just came out of the booth and I’m picking it up this weekend.
Any input

So this is my 64' VW dune buggy. I have yet to see one like this kit. It's been in my family since 1964. Grandpa, dad, uncle, & know I own it. Was told the donor is a 1964 Beetle then this fiberglass body was put on top of it. Anyone know??

Hello, have been fooling around with a Manx clone. It has what I think is an original front bumper, reinforcing tubes, separate fiberglass dash and hood with the steel frame, body mount brackets, hood crest bump, spare tire and battery wells. I seem to remember a thread that mentioned a flaw in the gel coat of some original bodies where the outline of a piece of tape is seen in the spare tire well. My body has a flaw like that. I have tried to take a picture.
I don't see anything that would indicate an I.D. plate on the rear hump. It has some reinforcing tubes under the front fenders that I have not seen on other buggies.
From the receipts I got with the machine, it appears to have been built in 1974 in Ontario Canada.
Please check out the pics.
