OMG.... I had no idea about this, but Wow what an excellent idea - and with all of these cans of WAX we would end up with LOTS of these extension hoses as well. [I guess that in all the standard locations there is no need to spray more paint in there since there still should be factory paint there... but seems that after 35+ years any van would definitely benefit from such a comprehensive treatment - - - I think that even if this wax is sprayed over-top of existing rust hidden in there it would still be beneficial in slowing down the cancer]

How many cans of WAX would it take to treat all the van's cavities? Any estimates? 5 cans?

My guess is half a dozen cans might be enough. Of course it depends how much you flood the cavities too.

Thank God they are only 10 bucks a can here... online I have seen them for $40!
I think when I do this to my Vancouver van I will consider another option for spraying... no way I will pay $200 just for WAX spray cans.
